New Senior Associate Director of Development: Alexandra Carr
Alexandra (Alex) Carr joined the Engineering Alumni and Development staff as Senior Associate Director of Development, effective Monday, April 21.
Alex comes to Washington University from Equal Justice Works in Washington, DC, where she served as a Regional Director of Development. Prior to her work at Equal Justice Works, Alex served Carnegie Mellon University's Department of Engineering and Public Policy as its Washington, DC Office Director. In this role, Alex built relationships with federal agencies, scientific institutions, congressional representatives, and industry partners for the purpose of promoting Carnegie Mellon engineering teaching and research. Her career has also included service as a Senior Attorney for Global Futures Foundation in DC and as a Research Engineer in private industry in Pittsburgh, PA. Alex has her B.S. in chemical engineering from Carnegie Mellon and JD from the Duke University School of Law.
Alex will play an integral role in helping the School of Engineering achieve its private funding goals.
