New EnCouncil Executive Officers Elected
Lee Cordova plans to use his new role as EnCouncil President to increase overall spirit in the School of Engineering. Lucky for him, he already has a few cheerleaders.
"Lee is an incredibly positive individual with a 'let's make it happen' approach," said Associate Dean Chris Kroeger. "He always has a smile on his face, an idea on his mind, and a hammer in his hand."
Dean Kroeger and members of the Engineering Student Services staff will support EnCouncil Executive Board's plans to focus on building a stronger Engineering community in the coming school year.
"We want people to be proud of being in the Engineering School," said Cordova. "That is a vibe that we really need to set during orientation."
In addition to their role during orientation, EnCouncil plans to host creative, collaborative events for Engineering students throughout the year. Some of EnCouncil's current programs include Vertigo, EnWeek, study breaks and Cheap Lunch.
"We are all very busy people, so having quality programming is going to be really important," said Cordova. "We want to do a lot more of collaboration with other student groups and societies so that people start thinking about the greater Engineering School."
EnCouncil members will use summer months to prepare for Engineering Orientation. For information on other upcoming EnCouncil events, contact the executive board at encouncil@cec.wustl.edu.
