Give Thanks, Give Back Recap

This year EnCouncil teamed with Engineering Student Services and the Dean's Office to adopt two needy families through the 100 Neediest Cases Program.

The 100 Neediest Cases program was started in 1900 by the Post-Dispatch and now partners with the United Way to serve not just 100, but 10,000 families struggling to overcome poverty in the area. Unfortunately, only a portion of those families are actually adopted. Washington University has assisted the program since 1998 when staff members adopted a single family. Today, the University adopts over 100 families each year.

Thanks to everyone who donated!
