Empowering women in engineering through mentorship

Under the leadership of the Women & Engineering Center, we are proud to present the Women & Engineering Mentor Program — a transformative initiative designed to provide invaluable mentorship opportunities for students.

Uniting students and alumnae in a powerful journey

The cornerstone of our mentorship program is WE Pairs, our flagship initiative, which matches students from the Women & Engineering Leadership Society with accomplished WashU alumnae mentors. This formal mentorship runs throughout the academic year, fostering a powerful experience that has consistently proven to be a catalyst for personal and professional growth.

Expanding our reach: Touching more lives in more ways

At the Women & Engineering Center, we strive to broaden our impact and ensure that mentorship is accessible to as many individuals as possible. We understand that each student faces unique challenges and may require different types of support based on their circumstances or stage of life. Therefore, we are committed to maximizing student engagement through our program.

Tailored mentorship approaches: Meeting individual needs

Recognizing the diverse needs of our students, we are excited to offer a range of mentorship approaches. In addition to the flagship alumna matching program, we have implemented peer, topic and theme mentoring. This comprehensive framework enables students to benefit from broader expertise and perspectives with the opportunity to connect with experienced professionals and engage with their peers, gaining insights from the questions they ask and fostering meaningful connections within the community.
