The Career Center's purpose is to help Washington University students be successful and to prepare them with skills for a lifetime of career management. The Center's ultimate goal is for Washington University students to be set on graduation day with a job in hand, acceptance into graduate or professional school, or commitment to a short-term transitional program.
In 2008, the Career Center moved into new offices inside the Danforth University Center (DUC).

Engineering Mentor Program
Established in 2002, the Engineering Mentor Program provides students with the opportunity to interact with alumni who share their perspective on their own education and career development, as well as offer advice about their professional fields. In addition, the Engineering Mentor Program provides an opportunity for alumni to network with fellow engineering alumni from the St. Louis area.
