Research

Wormleighton focuses his research on developing formative practices in STEM education and investigating geometric problems primarily stemming from theoretical physics. He has also contributed to genre theory in an educational context and is increasingly interested in research related to social choice theory.

Biography

Ben Wormleighton completed his undergraduate and master's studies at the University of Warwick in the United Kingdom before relocating to the United States for graduate school at the University of California, Berkeley. He initially joined Washington University in St. Louis as a postdoctoral researcher in the mathematics department before becoming a lecturer at the McKelvey School in 2023.

He has engaged in research within the fields of mathematics and STEM education, and he has delivered more than 70 presentations on his work in the United States, Europe, Asia, and South America. Additionally, he has served as a visiting scholar at Imperial College London in the United Kingdom and Nagoya University in Japan.
