Biography

John Bade recently retired from Boeing after a 32-year career. His last assignment was vice-president, Boeing Saudi Arabia. Prior to that, he held positions in Strategy Development for Global Services & Support within Integrated Defense Systems. In this position, Bade lead strategic development, mergers and acquisitions, and competitive assessments for the multi-billion-dollar Global Services & Support business. Bade has worked in a wide variety of leadership positions with increasing responsibility in engineering, quality, supplier management, product support, program management and business development. Bade has held several international program management assignments working in Japan, Italy, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.

Bade has worked globally in product support, engineering, quality, supplier management and program management and has taught graduate-level engineering courses for more than 20 years. He has experience teaching the application of project management leveraging operational knowledge and with a range of portfolio offerings up to and including multi-billion-dollar deals. He is known for entrepreneurial and global business mindset and experience.

Bade teaches evening graduate courses at Missouri University of Science and Technology and Washington University in St. Louis in strategic management, technology, continuous improvement, Six Sigma, statistical process control, Taguchi methods, project management, entrepreneurship and Total Quality Management.

  • Experience working internationally on several international program management assignments.
  • Conducted numerous improvement projects as a Black Belt/Quality Navigator to help reduce cycle time, improve quality and reduce cost.
  • Initiated and developed several multi-billion-dollar business deals.
