Gain a Global Perspective

Washington University School of Engineering & Applied Science views international study as an integral part of today's college experience. Experiencing an academic program in another country and culture can be both career enhancing and life-transforming. More and more employers are seeking graduates with international experience.

Students choose from a wide range of opportunities for both study abroad and international internship experiences. Programs include summer, semester, and year-long study in engineering.

The School of Engineering & Applied Science also works with the Arts & Sciences Overseas Programs Office, to offer additional study aboard opportunities in many disciplines and foreign languages.

Special Scholarships for Studying Abroad

Incoming freshman can apply for the Dean's International Award, a $2,500 stipend to be used for travel and living expenses while studying or pursuing an internship abroad. This stipend is awarded in addition to all other scholarships and financial aid.
