Yevgeniy Vorobeychik, associate professor computer science at the School of Engineering & Applied Science at Washington University in St. Louis, has been named a senior member of the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI).

A new faculty member within the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Vorobeychik was recognized for his achievements in the field of artificial intelligence and for his long-term participation in the AAAI.

Founded in 1979, the AAAI aims to advance the scientific understanding of the mechanisms underlying thought and intelligent behavior and their embodiment in machines.
