Engineering Research Development & Administration (RDA) encourages and advances research activities, promotes compliant and effectively managed sponsored projects, and prepares analyses to inform strategic planning in the School of Engineering & Applied Science.
The RDA office
- Identifies funding opportunities
- Coordinates with department administrators on administration, policies and compliance oversight
- Supports the development of large and/or interdisciplinary proposals
Engineering Department Administrators
- Work with faculty, postdoctoral research associates and graduate students to develop and submit sponsored research proposals
- Assist with proposal preparation and submission
- Review and obtain approvals on all grants submitted
Department Administrators
- Monitor sponsored projects funds
- Provide grant expenditure, payroll sourcing and other financial data reports. Examples include monthly PARS and expenditure reports
- Assist in resolving problems/concerns with grant awards/fund administration
- Assist with close-out of sponsored funds
