Engineering Research Development & Administration (RDA) encourages and advances research activities, promotes compliant and effectively managed sponsored projects, and prepares analyses to inform strategic planning in the School of Engineering & Applied Science.

The RDA office

• Identifies funding opportunities
• Coordinates with department administrators on administration, policies and compliance oversight
• Supports the development of large and/or interdisciplinary proposals

Engineering Department Administrators

• Work with faculty, postdoctoral research associates and graduate students to develop and submit sponsored research proposals
• Assist with proposal preparation and submission
• Review and obtain approvals on all grants submitted

Department Administrators

• Monitor sponsored projects funds
• Provide grant expenditure, payroll sourcing and other financial data reports. Examples include monthly PARS and expenditure reports
• Assist in resolving problems/concerns with grant awards/fund administration
• Assist with close-out of sponsored funds
