From BMES: "Dr. Mitchell Sommers will be presenting on his research regarding speech perception and how it relates to aging and to Alzheimer's, in this one-hour talk and discussion co-hosted by Synapse, Beat Therapy, and BMES! You might know him as an Intro to Psych professor, but Dr. Sommers is also the Director of the Speech and Hearing Laboratory at WashU and has done fascinating work on the understanding of language and speech and how auditory, visual, and cognitive cues contribute to comprehension and are affected throughout the process of aging. There will be free pizza, so bring your friends!"
