Professor Karin R. Sipido, MD, PhD is the Professor of Medicine and Head of Experimental Cardiology at the KU Leuven, the University of Leuven, Belgium. She received her MD degree and training in Internal Medicine and Cardiology in Antwerp, Belgium, and her PhD at KU Leuven. She trained in cardiac cell biology at the University of Maryland and at Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore. In addition, she has worked as a clinical consultant in Cardiology in Leuven and was visiting professor at the University of Maastricht, NL, and UMC Utrecht, NL. Prof. Sipido is a member of the editorial board of several leading journals in the cardiovascular domain; she was an Associate Editor of the European Heart Journal and since January 2013, she serves at the Editor-in-Chief of Cardiovascular Research.

NOTE:

Parking is not available outside of Whitaker Hall due to the Danforth East Campus construction. From the Medical School campus, take the blue line Shrewsbury Landsdowne I-44 train to Skinker (two stops). Nearest metrolink stop is Skinker. Enter through the doors at Green Hall. Go to the second floor of Green Hall and walk through Brauer Hall and Whitaker Hall. Room 218 is at the end of Whitaker Hall on the left of the library conference room.
