Tiezhi Zhang, Radiation Oncology Department at Washington University in St. Louis, will present.

Abstract: CT technology has been improved significantly during the last decade with the advancement of multi-row and flat panel x-ray detectors. However, the wider detector brought new challenging such as excessive x-ray scattering. The emerging multi-pixel or scanning x-ray source techniques present new opportunities to further advance x-ray imaging. In this talk, I will give an overview of the multi-pixel x-ray source technologies developing in my lab as well as several other academic and industrial groups. I will discuss a novel tetrahedron beam CT (TBCT) based on the multi-pixel x-ray source and its potential clinical applications.
