The Washington University Summer Engineering Fellowship (WUSEF) program is designed to encourage exceptional students from diverse backgrounds to participate in engineering research. Fellows will enjoy a rewarding summer research experience at one of the top universities in the U.S.
From May 30-July 28, 2017, each fellow will engage in an independent research project under the guidance of a faculty member in the School of Engineering & Applied Science at Washington University in St. Louis.
Projects will be in the general areas of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, chemical engineering, computer science and materials science. Potential applications include medicine, renewable energy, pollution control and nanotechnology.
Fellows will be selected for their intellectual promise, curiosity and motivation. Prior research experience is not necessary. Students from mathematics and the physical sciences, as well as engineering, are welcome to apply.
