GRAD Lab is GEM’s first programmatic offering for undergraduates! The GEM GRAD Lab is a highly interactive, two-day event that offers students who are traditionally underrepresented in STEM fields exposure to the benefits of graduate school and answers to questions such as how to apply and where to find funding.

Speakers may range from current graduate students to senior managers to faculty and senior administrators. They are selected from diverse communities and disciplines to present on the following topics:
  • “Why Graduate School”
  • “How to Prepare for Graduate School”
  • “Understanding the GEM Fellowship”, and
  • “Voices From the Field: Real Life Research and Internship Experiences”
