Seminar: "Protein phase behavior in cellular biophysics and neurodegeneration"

Oct 27, 2016
10:10 a.m.
Whitaker Hall, Room 100

Professor Rohit Pappu will present.

Abstract: The physical concepts underlying protein phase behavior are directly relevant to the formation of functional membraneless organelles as well as protein aggregation and phase separation that gives rise to neurodegeneration. This talk will present an integrative framework for uncovering the physics of sequence-encoded phase separation, fibril formation, and gelation.
