If it seems like things are getting worse in cyberspace — they are. Joe Scherrer, BS ’89, director of the Cybersecurity Strategic Initiative and program director of Graduate Studies in Information Systems Management and Cybersecurity Management at Washington University will discuss how we arrived at this state of affairs in cyberspace, the key issues currently confronting organizations and individuals in this regard, what must be done to confront the ever growing threat and make cyberspace safer for everyone. Along the way, you’ll learn what Washington University is doing to play its part in this important endeavor.

After the presentation, Joe will join Ed Corno, BFA ’79, chief technology leader at IBM and Ning Zhang, assistant professor in Computer Science & Engineering, to talk about their work in cybersecurity.
