Ben Bush defend his master's project at 4 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 25, in room 517 of Jolley Hall. The title of his project is "Analyzing the Performance of Machine Learning Workloads in Real-Time Clouds."

Abstract: Despite recent advances in the development of Intelligent Transportation Systems, many systems' performance have suffered from choosing an ill-suited computing platform. In this research, we empirically investigate the choice of hypervisor scheduler effect on latency while using with a machine learning workload. We develop a model of an intelligent routing system as our application and empirically show that the RTDS scheduler is the best choice of scheduler in order to meet low-latency service level agreements.
