Avni Solanki

Lecturer

Avni Solanki joined the faculty of the Energy, Environmental & Chemical Engineering at WashU in Fall 2018. From 2014 to 2018, she earned her doctorate studying pharmaceutical removal and nutrient recovery in source separated urine using biochar under Dr. Treavor Boyer at the University of Florida and Arizona State University. While a PhD student, Avni Solanki co-taught various environmental engineering undergraduate courses such as Water Chemistry, Fate and Transport, and Environmental Processes. Avni Solanki's current focus is integrating hands-on activities within curriculum to enhance the learning experience.
