Research Assistant Professor

Dr. Su Huang's research focuses on the synthesis and characterization of solution-processible functional materials as well as their applications in high-speed optical communication, non-invasive electric field sensing, functional photonic structures and renewable energy. In the past 15 years, he has published 3 US patents, 1 international patent, 39 peer reviewed journal publications and received over 1600 citations. He has an h-index of 21.

Currently Dr. Huang is developing halide perovskite based ferroelectric materials for sensor applications on whispering-gallery type resonator platform. Prior to joining the research faculty at Washington University in St. Louis, he was a postdoctoral research associate at the Yale University in the Department of Chemical & Environmental Engineering.
