Computational Medical Imaging (CMI) lab. Research at the CMI lab focuses on developing computational techniques to design systems and methods for optimized performance in medical imaging tasks. My research interests focus on machine learning in medical imaging, image reconstruction, and task-based image quality assessment.

What played into your decision to get a graduate engineering degree?

Want to explore more in the area of medical imaging. And also, a graduate engineering degree equips students with multiple transferable skills, such as problem-solving, decision making, and innovation, etc.

WashU has outstanding research opportunities and an atmosphere of enthusiastic learning.

What was your favorite course and why?

CSE 541T Advanced Algorithms. Because it provides broad coverage of fundamental algorithm design techniques and gives students the knowledge on correctness proofs and the ability to apply the techniques to design algorithms. It really changed the way I code.

Who is your favorite instructor and why?

My PI, Dr. Abhinav K. Jha. He explains difficult theories in a very clear way, by which students can easily understand. And also, Dr. Jha's teaching style is creative, and he always encourages and guides students to think deeper.

What is your favorite thing about St. Louis?

The parks and wineries!
