Washington University in St. Louis is proud to again partner with Startup Connection to host Startup ’16, the St. Louis region’s premiere event supporting and promoting new businesses, innovation and entrepreneurship.
The event will take place November 16 at Knight/Bauer Halls on campus. Early-stage startups will present their products and ideas to investors, and vie for cash and in-kind prizes. The event also offers a resource fair for startups, as well as guest speakers and presenters. Last year, one third of the startups that participated got their starts at WashU.
“We’re thrilled that Startup Connection is coming to Washington University for a second year,” said Dedric Carter, associate vice chancellor for innovation and entrepreneurship at Washington University in St. Louis. “WashU is a place where many entrepreneurs — and ideas — get their start. Hosting St. Louis’ largest event for early-stage startups is a natural extension of our role in the region’s growing and thriving entrepreneurial community.”
