​Passwords

Your password must be reset every six months. If you enter your password incorrectly five times, your account will be locked out for a short period of time.

Change SEAS password

There are several ways of changing your SEAS password.
  • If you can login to a machine on the SEAS domain (if your current password has not expired), you can press Control-Alt-Delete and choose Change a password...
  • You can go to the site https://mypassword.seas.wustl.edu to change or reset your password, even if it has expired or you have been locked out. If you choose Reset my Password, you will be sent an email from myPassword@seas.wustl.edu with a link to confirm your identity.
  • Come to the EIT Help Center at Lopata Hall, room 408 or call (314) 935‑5097.

Academic Labs

To change your WUSTL Key password, or for more information about your WUSTL Key account, go to https://connect.wustl.edu.

Rules for creating a password:

  • A password cannot be changed within 24 hours of the account being created or the password being changed or reset
  • A new password cannot be any of the user's five previous passwords
  • Passwords cannot contain three or more consecutive letters from the user's first name, last name or username
  • Passwords must be at least eight characters long include a combination of:
    • Capital letters
    • Lowercase letter
    • Number
    • Special characters ( ~ ! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) _ + - = [ ] { } \ | ; : ' " , . / > < ? )

Password Lockout

If your account is locked or you have forgotten your password, bring a photo ID to the Help Center in Lopata Hall, Room 408 to have it reset.
