Biomedical Data Science
The Minor in Biomedical Data Science is designed to integrate data science principles — preparing, transforming, modeling, visualizing, validating and communicating data — with the unique challenges and considerations of medicine and health care.
The Department of Biomedical Engineering offers five degree options, including a bachelor’s, combined bachelor’s/master’s, master’s, master of engineering, and PhD. Students will integrate the analytical, modeling, and systems approaches of engineering to the multi-scale problems of biology and medicine.
The Department of Biology and Department of Computer Science & Engineering have designed bioinformatics minor to serve students from both departments as well as other students from the natural sciences and engineering with an interest in this field.

Graduates of the cybersecurity programs will be equipped with the theoretical and hands-on engineering expertise to solve complex cybersecurity problems affecting diverse enterprises worldwide. The program offers part- and full-time master’s and a graduate certificate.
Students majoring in data science will have the formal foundation needed to understand the applicability and consequences of the various approaches to analyzing data with a focus on statistical modeling and machine learning. The human-computer interaction minor is designed to give undergraduate students a multidisciplinary understanding of the principles and applications of HCI. It will introduce students to the techniques necessary to create effective user interfaces.
Data Analytics & Statistics
The master’s in engineering data analytics and statistics is an academic master's degree for students interested in learning statistical techniques necessary to make informed decisions based on data analysis.
The bachelor’s, master’s, PhD, DSc and minor in electrical engineering is designed for those intrigued with electrical phenomena and eager to contribute their skills to a society increasingly dependent on electricity and sophisticated electronic devices.
Imaging Science & Engineering
Built on the strengths in imaging science throughout the university, this multidisciplinary program is constructed to expose students to the breadth of imaging research activities at Washington University.
Students in the master of engineering in robotics program will prepare for professional practice in robotics engineering by leveraging the technical skills developed in an undergraduate engineering or physical science program. A minor also is available.
Quantum Engineering integrates quantum knowledge — quantum physics, quantum information science, and quantum technologies — into the engineering education at Washington University. The curriculum encompasses both fundamental physics and the broad engineering skill set necessary to meet the practical challenges of the future.

Graduate students may choose from a PhD in energy, environmental & chemical engineering, a master’s of engineering (MEng) in energy, environmental & chemical engineering as well as an MEng/MBA program in partnership with the Olin Business School.
The bachelor’s degree and minor in environmental engineering covers cross-disciplinary research on innovative physical, chemical and biological processes in engineered systems that result in clean air and water and in the environmentally benign production of materials and energy.
Nanoscale Science & Engineering
This minor in the Department of Energy, Environmental & Chemical Engineering will enhance student's knowledge and skills in the area of nanotechnology. The minor consists of courses, labs, and a project with a participating faculty.

This part-time master’s and graduate certificate program, created for any professional of the built environment, incorporates traditional themes, such as cost, time, risk and quality management, strengthened with business, finance, ethics and law.

Information Systems Management
Offered through the Sever Institute, the master's of information systems management offers education in information, systems, management and leadership in a full- or part-time master’s program or a graduate certificate.
The curriculum in this part-time master’s or graduate certificate program was designed to execute mission-critical projects and conquer the three project environments of people, processes and strategies.
Computational & Data Sciences
The doctoral program in Computational & Data Sciences provides students with strong methodological training in modern computational and statistical methods and expertise in a particular social science application area.
