Yes, with Dr. Ulugbek Kamilov's Computational Imaging Group. My area of research is computational imaging and optimization.

Nanjing Tech University, China

What played into your decision to get a graduate engineering degree?
I wish to do research work related to signal processing, optimization and imaging. I wanted to work on advanced projects and contribute to real applications that would positively impact people's lives.

Why did you pick Washington University in St. Louis?
WashU provides lots of research opportunities to all students and the professors here are friendly and helpful.

What was your favorite course and why?
ESE 513: Large-Scale Optimization for Data Science. In this course, Dr. Ulugbek Kamilov provides both detailed derivations to optimization theories and the application of these theories.

Who is your favorite instructor and why?
My favorite instructor is Dr. Kamilov. He gives a lot of helpful suggestions to students and is always willing to offer interesting research projects to students in his course.

What advice would you give to a new student?
Do not be afraid to ask for help from your instructors. They are always helpful.

What is your favorite thing about St. Louis?
Forest Park and BBQ.

What are your plans for the future?
I will stay at WashU for my PhD and keep working on my research related to computational imaging and medical image processing.
