Biography

Cindy brings over 15 years of industry experience to her role as an instructor. First, as a research scientist in Monsanto’s agricultural division, she engineered methods for controlling plant disease in important crops like wheat and potato. While there she also led and co-developed training programs in communication, team-building and leadership. Next, she consulted at Pfizer as a project manager to produce an annual technical meeting for its 1200 St. Louis scientists. Cindy earned bachelor’s and master's degrees in microbiology and cell sciences in 1985 and 1994, respectively, from the University of Florida.
