Biography

Jim Feher has been teaching a combination of electrical engineering, computer science, mathematics and physics for nearly thirty years. Previously he was a design engineer for a St. Louis company. Upon finishing his graduate studies, he was a Professor of Pre-Engineering at East Central College in Union, Missouri for eight years. Most recently, Jim was a Professor of Computer Science and Chair of the Division of Computing at McKendree University in Lebanon, Illinois for fifteen years. Jim is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Missouri. He joins Washington University--St Louis as a lecturer in August 2016.

Areas of Interests

Jim has a strong interest in renewable energy, including electrical and heating systems. His previous teaching experience in computing has led to an interest in various open source software and hardware projects while his past electrical engineering experience focused on control theory.
