Imoukhuede named to Center for Scientific Review study section

Associate Professor Princess Imoukhuede's role as a member of the Vascular Cell and Molecular Biology study section will allow her to shape the nation’s biomedical research effort

Princess Imoukhuede, an associate professor with the Department of Biomedical Engineering, has been invited to serve as a member of the Vascular Cell and Molecular Biology study section with the Center for Scientific Review. Her four-year term will begin on June 1.
 
Imoukhuede was nominated to the study section due to her “demonstrated competence and achievement in her scientific discipline.” Her research examines vascular signaling and blood vessel development using systems biology.
 
“As a researcher in the field, it’s an honor to serve on this Vascular Cell and Molecular Biology study section,” Imoukhuede said. “I’m looking forward to helping shape the future direction of my field on the level of national review.”
 
As a member of the study section, Imoukhuede will have the opportunity to contribute to the nation’s biomedical research effort. The study section reviews grant applications submitted to the National Institutes of Health, makes recommendations to the appropriate advisory boards and surveys the status of research in their respective fields.
