BME student wins prestigious award at SPIE Photonics West

Guang Yang, a doctoral student in the lab of Quing Zhu, received the 2020 MKS Instrument Research Excellence Award for his work in photoacoustic imaging

Guang Yang, a doctoral student in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, received the 2020 MKS Instrument Research Excellence Award at the 2020 Photonics West conference. Yang was recognized for his research achievements in photoacoustic imaging and was one of only 18 students selected to receive the award.
 
Yang is a doctoral student in the lab of Quing Zhu, professor of biomedical engineering.
