Doctoral student wins SNMMI grant

Yan Liu received a Student Research grant from the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging

Yan Liu, a doctoral student in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, was recently awarded a Student Research grant from the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging.

The SNMMI is among the premier organizations in the field of nuclear medicine and aims to promote the practical application of nuclear medicine and molecular imaging. The grant provides students with $5,000 to help fund their research.

Liu is a graduate researcher in the lab of Abhinav Jha, assistant professor of biomedical engineering. Jha’s lab develops novel computational-imaging methods for diagnosing and treating diseases.
