BME doctoral student wins prestigious paper award

Christopher Pacia was awarded the Student Paper Award at the IEEE International Ultrasonics Symposium in Glasgow, Scotland

Christopher Pacia, a doctoral student in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, received the 2019 Student Paper Award at the IEEE International Ultrasonics Symposium in Glasgow, Scotland earlier this month. The award is the most prestigious student award in the ultrasound field.
 
Pacia joined the Department of Biomedical Engineering in 2017 and works in the lab of Hong Chen, assistant professor of biomedical engineering in the McKelvey School of Engineering and of radiation oncology at the School of Medicine.
