How to Apply

Applications are typically submitted during the winter of a student's junior or senior year at an affiliated institution. Do not apply using the Common Application. The application deadline is Feb. 28. There is no application fee. Students are encouraged to review the Dual Degree Program admission requirements.

Admissions Checklist

  • Online application
    • After creating a login, make sure McKelvey Dual Degree Programs is selected.
  • Institutional endorsement certifying aptitude for engineering study and receipt of a second degree. The Dual Degree liaison officer at your current institution must certify aptitude for engineering study, which he or she will be requested to do after you submit your online application. This will attest you are expected to complete a bachelor's level, non-engineering degree at your current institution no later than receipt of the engineering degree from WashU.
  • Official transcript. Do not submit until your fall grades have been recorded. Do not send transcripts to WashU Undergraduate Admissions. Have your campus registrar send your official electronic transcript to eng-dualdegree@wustl.edu or have your campus registrar mail your official transcript to:
